At IMED, we've created a different way of doing things, to get different results.
Traditionally helm panels have always had issues like leaking, being unable to see controls for night navigation and being in constant need of repairs and maintenance. As a result the focus for helm panel design has been more on the technology rather than the aesthetics.
IMED started building and designing helm control stations in 2006 and after mastering those traditional issues around waterproofing, control and functionality, IMED focused on the appearance of the helms. With an eye for detail and design, IMED creates helm panels that are attractive, aesthetically pleasing and fit for a superyacht.
Custom design
Custom designed to suit any vessel, old style or new, we can match the panel to the rig colour. We design our own hinges to address the issues around curved surfaces and water proofing and pay close attention to creating helm stations which suit the yacht's aesthetic. For engineers
Created with the engineer in mind, the functionality these helm stations deliver is complex but can be easily serviced onboard with minimal spares.
We build our own dimmers so the lighting can be controlled and back lit at night and an RGB controller allows you to choose any colour of lighting you want. Don't forget to browse the selection of complementary products we've created to extend the functionality and performance of your helms.
