Read on below for testimonials from our clients: S/Y Destination In 2012 to 13 SY Destination underwent a major refit at STP Yard in Palma, Majorca. Having worked with IMED before, and always been impressed with their service, product and delivery - we commissioned them to design, supply and install new exterior helm control stations. We wanted to push the design ideas and they certainly did that, always willing to look outside the box. They also designed digital microprocessor controlled pitch angle and rudder angle indicators which were installed at the same time. IMED provided us with a first-class product and the helms stations look modern and sleek and offer a functionality that is vastly improved on the old helm stations. As well as the new helm stations, IMED replaced the ships PLC, alarms and monitoring system and installed new touch screens and SCADA software.SY Destination won the Boat International Refit of the Year Award in 2012 and IMED were a valuable contributor to that accolade.David and his team continue to support SY Destination and we value their expertise and professional services. This has been both onboard in New Zealand and remotely, while overseas - most recently while we were in the USA. IMED has always provided professional and timely services and we value their expertise and dedication. Work IMED has completed for JOW includes replacing dash panels, modifying the hydraulic system and upgrades to the electrical system. IMED also maintains the vessels' electrical documentation. S/Y Drumbeat
I have been dealing with David and Tony, the IMED team since 2009 and have no hesitation in recommending them as an excellent company. Their understanding of complex electronic logic programmes helped us to resolve many different issues onboard. Due to my confidence in them, I once again relied on their services during an extensive refit in Auckland in 2013-14 and decided to improve the flybridge systems by changing and updating the three control panels. The outcome was excellent, both technically and visually. No problem is too small and they will always find a solution to our problems or requests. Powersail
In 2006 we commissioned International Marine Electrical Design to design the sequential controls to fulfil our specifications for the following systems on the prototype Powersail 15m luxury motor yacht, utilising Omron programmable controllers:
As with all prototypes during commissioning some modifications to the systems were necessary to obtain maximum efficiency. In spite of some trying circumstances we found David and his team always ready to please, and have been very impressed with their technical competency when faced with problem solving.
