In 2006 we commissioned International Marine Electrical Design to design the sequential controls to fulfil our specifications for the following systems on the prototype Powersail 15m luxury motor yacht, utilising Omron programmable controllers.

Water ballast control system

Retractable Z drive propulsion system

Lifting Keel with locking wedge system

From our frrst meeting we were immediately impressed with David's pleasant personality and his rapid understanding of our special requirements for each application for our unique vessel.

As with all prototypes during commissioning some modifications to the systems were necessary to obtain maximum efficiency. In spite of some trying circumstances we found David and his team always ready to please, and have been very impressed with their technical competency when faced with problem solving.

We would have no hesitation in re-engaging David Chalmers and his team for future projects and would recommend them to any other potential clients.
