IMED Ltd offer a remote support service whereby overseas vessels can come to us via phone or email with electrical questions and problems and we will endevour to help resolve issues.
In the past we have been able to pin-point various PLC and power generation problems remotely, we have been able to supply parts and the vessels engineer can normally repair any problems, in the case where an electrician is necessary, we can uaually come and help with little notice.
Vessel electrical database:
We hope to have our electrical drawing database up and running soon, this will allow vessels around the world to transfer drawings and documents onto a secure server. The intention of the database is two-fold, being electronically documented means that drawings can be kept safe and up to date. It also allows us and our consultants to have drawings to review and fault find as required.
