S.Y. Silvertip

S.Y. Silvertip is a 34m composite sloop originally built in 2002 by Yachting Developments in Auckland in NZ.

IMED was commissioned to rebuild the Helm panels improving the weather proofing with an updated membrane panel and KEP touch screen for navigation. The brief was to keep the original retro style with a carbon box weave finish and an uncluttered look while incorporating additional control.

During this build we added a new feature to our Rudder angle indicators (expanded scale where you need it) and a custom scissor hinge that allows for vertical lift prior to rotation.
